After a fairly late night, everyone wakes up a little later and maybe not so fresh. But the sun in shining as usual and so after a few hours in the morning waiting for the new table to arrive they bought and chilling, the guys watching netflix and me on blog duties we head out to the beach for a nice cold swim.
We go to Scarborough beach, which is quite busy as it’s a Sunday, but still doesn’t feel to crowded since al the beaches in Perth are pretty wide anyway. Heading straight in the water as it’s so hot, it always amazes me just how clear and turquoise the water is, especially now being able to compare it to the East Coast water, which is a much darker blue.
The waves here are pretty cool today and big, so it’s lots of fun diving into them and both Michelle and I at some point get totally rolled over by a couple of the big ones, as they ar very dumpy in Perth breaking right on you. I take my new toy, my underwater camera in to play about with and get some fun shots of us guys mucking about doing floating star shapes and underwater faces haha.
We stay there for about an hour or so, when the guys want to leave for food. Just as we are leaing Bex turns up, so stay down with her for another hour chilling out on the beach and having a few more swims. The water is just so refreshing as super cold and actually after being in for too long, you can get a bit cold! (Although not too much)…
On the way back from the guys gtting food, I jump back with them to the house where we chill in the garden at the new table, which is such a cool table with the big wooden chars and colous on the top. It kinda makes me want to have my own garden! Tamara put the old table on gumtree and after being flooded with responses, a guy comes over to take it having to fix it to the roof of his jeep, which is quite amusing with the 4 legs sicking up in the air, but he manages it all OK.
So enjoying a few ciders and another bbq, this time steak and jacket potato we try and watch a film to relax before the guys having work the next day. Putting on Macbeth, which looked good in the trailor, but all in shakespearian everyone is nearly asleep in about 30minutes, so probably not the best film choice especially when everyone is hungover and tired from Michelle’s birthday. Really nice to have a relaxing sunday night again, as the last 2 months sunday’s are usually for sunday session days!
