After my enjoyable cycle ride yesterday, decided to push it a little further today cycling to Hilarys Boat Harbour, which is 12km (7.5miles) and the same route as Mettams Pool, but just continue along the coastal cycle path. It’s a very scenic beautiful route with some amazing large houses along the way. So many cute beaches along the way that could stop at and even pass one practically deserted beach all but one power which is quite crazy when it is so long, white and beautiful. However I power on through to Hilary’s, so don’t get lazy and loose my motivation to cycle up the up and coming steep hills.
When I reach Hilary’s it’s a fairly good size marina with plenty of restuarants and boutique shops, so spend a bit of time mooching about while enjoying an ice cold passionfruit smoothie. It has some cool quirky thingd like a sign post with all the distances to different countries, of course London is on there, Auckland, New York and Hong Kong too that I’ve been too. I have a walk to check out the boats and some nice ones there I wouldn’t mind going out on. It is really busy on it’s small beach area due to the kids being off still, so decide to head to a beach much closer to home like mettams pool. By the time I arrive there (after a much easier ride back) I only have about an hour before sunset and I want to avoid cycling in the dark. I dive straight in as so hot after my heavy cycle work out although the constant breeze massively helps. Swimming here is a little like going against a resistance as super strong currents, so again another good source of exercises and builds up a huge appetite. Luckily tonight we have a bbq with all of my favourite things that me and McG bought after our morning quick swim down the beach. Get a super deal on the steak while we are in Karinyup mall and throw in, jacket and buttered cob to add some health into it…. I think that is my driving force to beat the hills back one more time! Overall another cool day at tge beach and seeing new places
