From beach to jungle – the charms of Ubud

With pretty much the full day to enjoy Lemboghan it’s mostly chilled around the nice pool and finding deserted and hidden beaches. Recommended by Tamara to also paddle board we decide to leave due to my budget and the jellyfish, especially after seeing an aussie couple come out of the water totally covered in jelly fish stings so bit nervous to risk being stung.

Stopping off first before the hidden beach at the Deck Bar for a health kick of berry smoothie and to see the amazing views as the bar is directy over the sea. For lunch we go to warung warung and both of us have indonesian which is great food and again nice views of the bay while listening to a bit of chilli peppers.

So getting the 4.30pm boat through the company Rocky Fast Cruise agan we can’t spend too long at lunch or round the pool as its just so hot. After not really knowing where we are being picked up for the boat as told the wrong place, we eventually get on and overall super impressed with the service they give as straight away when we dock they take us to UBUD.

In ubud its a very cool place and is much bigger than I expected with a long highroad full of restaurants and very cool shops. We are a little out of the town in the jungle, but the walk is cool through these trees that have vine type things that hang down and make it quite jungle looking. Has a hippieculture vibe to it with book and coffee shops about a lot too. We find an amazingly cheap Indonesian restuarant off the main high road with food costing about £2. And it being such a small world I bump into Joey there as he ended up staying ubud an extra night after re-falling to sleep after a volcano walk! He doesn’t get on great with Holly though and got her back up by being bit rude. As her first impressions of him aren’t great I let him head out with his hostel mate and we decide to stroll back to the hotel as its quite a far walk. The hotel is gorgeous  but the room is going to take some getting used to as the bathroom is outside which is kinda cool but also always need to be on the bug watch haha. Plus usual annoyances of  the Wi-Fi being non existent. Not ideal when have loads of things to sort. At least we are sorted for the temple tour and cycling to really see ubud.
