Checking out Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive

After a last minute decision to come back to LA to check out Pride weekend, I arrive really early so have the day to do some more touristy stuff. As Im staying in West Hollywood it is really close to and easy to get to Beverly Hills so jump on a bus there, which only takes 20minutes. I jump off where the gardens are and the famous Beverly Hill sign, which is nice as has a pond full of lilys and in a nice garden.

From there Rodeo Drive starts so walk along that being impressed by the expensive shops, like everyone else as everything looks so shiny and clean. The most impressive shop is probably House of Bijion which is famous for always having the designers personal yellow Bugatti parked out front as a tribute to his death back in April 2011 and the list of all the clients he has had from famous presidents like Putin to actors like Arnold Schwaznegger, Tom Ford and Michael Jordan. Other cool shops are some art shops along number two rodeo drive a cute little road with restaurants where some people are enjoying sitting outside.

Rest of Beverly Hills is hotels and other big shops, that just have a walk around, but unless your spending money no point really checking out for long. It isn’t really a big place, so just chill out for an hour having a smoothie in a posh Starbucks where is great gfor peope watching. Even see the actress from American Pie “One Night at band camp” , which is cool. After strolling around a few more streets, that are just large always taking ages to cross and walk around decide to head to a street where there is a witch house called Spadena House on 516 Walden Drive. It is just 10minutes walk from where the electric fountain is and it is cool as actually has all the detail of a witch house, pointed lopsided thatched roof with tiny windows and cute garden pond. Built by a Hollywood art director and Storybook architecture it is now known as a storybook house, as designed to look like a Hansel and Gretal style. The rest of the street looks nice with big expensive houses, but apparently when people are seen walking about unless they are in tour it is likely they will get pulled over by police as risk of trespassing, so after the witch house just jump on a bus to head back.
