So by the time we arrive in Wellington everyone is tired of being on the bus as it is a long journey and tired from the crossing still, plus River Valley. Staying at BASE in wellington we all get our group rooms, in with Swedish Ida, Welsh Alex and Harry again. A nice four and quite a big room too, so the best room from the group to have pre drinks before going to check out Wellington. The pre drinks are such fun with Holland Gin there, MK Chris, German Mads and Janich, UK Charlotte, Billy, Charlotte and Essie and two twins from UK, who are very funny Sam and Jack plus Michele from San Diego. The room does get a bit crowded playing card games, but it is fun and nice group.
Before we get out the welsh lads find the welsh bar outside our hostel and like the fact that it has a map of their home town – very cute and nice to have something familiar to home for them. Around 11 we venture out to find Cuba street, but end up at a bar called the ESTABLISHMENT where we meet a few others from the kiwi bus and a super lively place, mostly full of local NZ out after work. It reminds me a bit of a London bar. As there are so many of us out it is hard to leave to try other bars, without loosing everyone, but staying there we all have a great night dancing away and able to sit outside, which is even nicer making the most of the warmer evenings before we head south to the cold.
