So today is a city day and the weather is much better sun shining! First stop is greyhound travel to organise my bus tickets and Fraser Island and Whitsunday tours. Hopefully it’s the right call pre booking them as I hear they get booked up fast, but at least I know I have them at least. Managed some negotiating too so feel I’ve not done so badly. In there for ages so Im late to meet Dave Lowrie from Aimia and his girlfriend Annie. We meet at the Glenmore Hotel which is a really cool bar on the rooftop with amazing views of the opera house. Also a hangout for big stag groups it seems with a man in a dress running about playing party games so funny to watch. We stay there for a couple of ciders catching up on old Aimia times, as it’s been about 4 years since he left for Melbourne so lots to chat about. After here we head for the Opera Bar as they have vip box for the symphony at opera house and it means I can pop by to say hi to James who is working there. It’s a really cool bar much bigger than expected as long and has full view of the iconic sydney bridge too. It’s totally rammed there so only have time for one drink, which out of all the ques I end up in one served by James flat mate who came out to Ivy with us for a bit. James is working outside and manage to swing by before I leave as got to get back for Ali’s drinks, so I’m not too late, but luckily buses are easy from circular quay straight to coogee. Circular quay is also nice to cruise around with lots of street performers and things going on. Cute boats too coming in and out of the harbourbas well as a few beasts of cruise ships.
