Exploring Freo the sequel

Weather today for the first time isn’t that great. It is a bit cloudy here and rainy where Claire and Mark are so the plans to go Cottesloe get changed and think moved to Sunday. Also T has the cleaner coming so McG and I need to leave the house for few hours, so decide to grab a smoothie from Scarborough and then head to cottesloe on route to check out how far it will be to cycle. We stop off to see the beach with its bay of rocks making it more safe to swim and even with limited sun it is still beautiful colour blues.

Fremantle is cool to go again as more is open than went with Bex, which it is and has a very buzzy atmosphere today. We walk through the vintage dept. shop that only opens weekends and it’s a very cool place as arty and sells lots of craft things. If I was home a few things would have caught my attention like make up bags out of cork, old antique furniture, orangutan cushions and even zombie acpoloclpt books. There is a ping pong table there which amuses us for a bit and get some good rallies up for awhile. There is also a cute cafe you can sit in to watch the world go by. Even on the streets Freo feels very arty with paintings on a lot of the building walls and even snakes and ladders and funky ping ping tables.

We check out the indoor market selling everything from juices, gadgets to art. McG gets sucked into a 3d visit demo and me into splatter balls lol.

Before we head back we grab a beer at the sailor and anchor which is one of the cool older style buildings in town and has a cool atmosphere sitting on the balcony watching the bustling street market below.

On the way back we happen to see two girls with a koala and a snake who are promoting their company and just ask for a small donation to touch and see them. The koala called Dexter is pretty cool and like theYanchep ones not moving much. Their fur is super thick and soft and just allowed to touch the back and not the face. Apparently this one likes cuddles and gets the hump if it doesn’t daily lol.

Last stop is food from a really cute Bali influenced cafe that is a shop also called Chinta and get amazing chicken quesadilla. The shop sells organic foods and a lot of ways to re-energise the mind and eat well. A popular Perth thing to do.

Rest of the day is spent chilling around the house, McG puts on some new series called Top Boy all about london gangs so reminds me of home lol. Later on I manage to see the new Point Break film with Reiner, which is good and watching it in 3D works as has some big action scenes especially the big tide surfing scene.
