First proper day to explore Perth a bit, so head into work with Tamara in the car and I head off to check out the shops as need a new outfit for Marquee. The range of shops is quite good with a couple of more boutique ones that I prefer to the same branded shops like Topshop, Zara and Debenhans.
After lunch I hear that Tim and Dave have landed and am looking forward to spending the day with them – totally cool meeting them the other side of the world! I go to their hotel as Dave wants me to check out their amazing presedential suite upgrade they got. Dave meets me at my cab and it definitely is a super impressive (and large) room with a cool view of the old port, which is where we end up for dinner in a bar called
Lucky Shag Bar. The food here is ok just a bit different as I choose the Nasi Goreng and it is more risotto than anyrhung, but still tasted good. Dave has a client from London there too, so we all stay there until 5ish before Tim heads back to the penthouse as very hungover from a night in Alice Springs casino lol.
Dave and I take a explore through Perth going via Kings Park which is pretty full of lakes and interesting ducks lol. We have a go on a silly slide that I actually get stuck on as no gradient haha.
On the otherside of the motorway (which cuts right through the middle) is the bigger part of the park taking us up to the top to get the awesome city views and see the war memorial. It’s not a great sunset so we start walking down to the main town about 20-30 min walk. Along the way we pass the financial distruct buildings, couple of old castle/fort type buildings and walk through London Court . This street is my favourite from the day as I love the tudour period it is themed after and even reminds me a bit of harry potter!
After so many hours of walking it’s vino time so go to the the Aviary for a drink which is a nice rooftop bar. After there we try the Stables. Both bars really nice and quite busy, but expect over a weekend they will be totally jammed as think the most popular. Out drinking for a couple of hours before we head as Dave and Tim are up at 3am to go to Ningaloo and I need to grab a taxi via their hotel to collect my shopping of the day. So amazing to see them both and only feels like yesterday saw them back home. Feel totally spoilt by Dave and sad that it will be another 6 months to be able to catch up…
