To break up our next long drive of 4 hours we stop off at Valley of the Giants</a. It's a nice drive going through the forest and for most of it we are the only car on the road – not sure if thats because its xmas or usually quiet as so remote.
We only do a quick tour of the valley of the trees as need to get Denmark. There is a tree top walk way which we don't do as it's not very long and quite expensive for what it is (out of my backpacker budget haha) plus ive been spoilt with the Borneo canopy tree walkway. It's really cool to see the trees and reminds me a bit of Yosimite and the sequiora trees as a few are hollowed out and you can walk through. There is a discovery center there which is quite interesting as has the history of the trees and area. It also has all the key places to visit in the region, which unfortunately most can't do as typical Australia everything is so far to drive too but good to know for future road trips.
